Q
How does MaestroWeb Premier’s Online Bidding feature
work?
A
Online
Bidding is an add-on module to MaestroWeb that allows
the organization to designate any number of items to
be sold by auction via their MaestroWeb website.
Q
How much control does an organization have over the
sale of items?
A
The
organization determines which items are for sale, what
the minimum bid is and what the minimum raise is.
Q
Do I need any special skills to run an online auction?
A
No.
If you already understand how to use MaestroWeb and
how to run an auction then you already have the skills
necessary to run an Online Auction.
Q
Is Online Bidding in real-time?
A1
Yes! Click the "Submit a Bid" button and the
bid is registered with the system.
A2
When the timer runs out on the auction, all bidding
is closed.
Q
Is Online Bidding user friendly?
A
Yes!
It’s easy to use and the Bidder can check their
bidding status with handy online reports.
Q
Can I run both an Online Auction and a Brick and Mortar
Auction?
A
Yes!
In fact it is encouraged as it allows your organization
to reach members who can not attend your event or to
sell items that did not sell at the event.
Q
Why should I run an Online Auction?
A
An
online auction is a great way to sell items because
there is less planning required, no brick and mortar
auction costs, and your organization can reach a wider
audience.
Q
What is MaestroWeb Premier’s Fee Structure?
A
Online
bidding has two basic costs: A Setup Fee and a Closeout
Fee.
- The
Setup Fee
- This fee is paid up front. The Setup Fee is credited
against the Closeout Fee.
-
The Closeout Fee - This fee is a
small percentage of the total online auction revenue.
The exact percentage is based on a sliding scale.
Q
Do the Online Auction sales register with a particular
bidder’s record?
A
Yes!
MaestroWeb Premier’s Online Bidding feature is
fully integrated with AuctionMaestro Professional.
